Trev Alberts and Kyle Peterson Promote Early Education

University of Nebraska at Omaha’s athletic director (and former Indianapolis Colt) Trev Alberts, along with Kyle Peterson, president and CEO of Nebraska Colliers International (and former Milwaukee Brewer) published a joint op-ed in the Omaha World Herald. The two former athletes, and Champions for America’s Future members, understand that falling behind in sports is a big obstacle to overcome. But so is falling behind in education. And 64,000 kids in Nebraska are currently at risk for starting school at a disadvantage. That’s why Alberts and Peterson support quality early childhood education in the state.

According to the Buffet Institute/Gallup survey recently released by the University of Nebraska’s Buffett Early Childhood Institute, 68 percent of Nebraskans understand that early child care and education has a significant impact on the long-term success of students. And most Nebraskans support making early education a priority.
